Dan Carr
Dan Carr aka… Season Ticket, Dangerous, DC, Dan ‘Van Der’ Carr
Position: Goalie/Spectator/Lines-man
Well what can be said for this guy?! Upto this 2010/11 season had anyone actually ever seen him play football…or for that matter kiss a girl? Regardless of the worst appearance stats in footballing history (about 2 games played in 3 seasons) and the holder of last seasons Darren Anderton ‘sick-note’ award, Dan Carr has somehow still become a Loco legend…and here’s why.
Never has anyone been so enthusiastic about turning up on Sunday to run the line for their local Sunday league team but it’s that passion for Loco that has made DC a cult figure on the sidelines.
Some say he also lives a life as a dodgy football agent as he has been responsible for bringing in a number of new faces to the club this season, all done with the good of the club in mind. As the Bournemouth Hayward leagues only season ticket holder for a pub team Dangerous Dan Carr bleeds red & black (unfortunately that means Man Utd too!)…we just look forward to him starring in the next Pub Scouts social!…and maybe even pulling on a Loco jersey within the next 12 months…..and he has done just that!
Dan Carr has reinvented himself in the 2010/11 season as Loco’s Number 1 between the sticks. Although Police commitments have hindered a solid run in the side Dan has proved a great asset when he has donned the gloves. Learning how not to do it from last years number 1 Kris Legg, Dan has moulded his own game with some spectacular blocks and great penalty reaction saves. DC will become a historic goalkeeping figure for years to come.
